Smashing Pumpkins
Got to see the Smashing Pumpkins last night in Normal, IL. Almost didn't get to go down because my sister became a total bitch at the last minute and me and Katie thought it would be for the best not to let David be in that kind of situation, so we packed up strapped him into his car seat and headed down to Normal with no plan or babysitter in mind. Thanks Shari, your telling everyone we fucked you over (which makes absolutely no sense) but in fact your the one that fucked us over. I was able to beg my cousin Melissa to come over to our hotel and watch him while we were at the show. I felt like a total jackass because I had gotten her tickets to the show for free. I owe her big time, but she gave the tickets to her brother and her daughter Vada, and they had a great time. So once again thanks Melissa, when the Pumpkins come back to town or Chicago, I will make sure you go. Anyway the Pumpkins were great. It was Katie's first time seeing them (she saw Zwan with me, but there is a big difference) and she loved it. They played the following songs, Superchrist, Doomsday Clock, That's The Way, Drown, Hummer, Bullet With Butterfly Wings, United States, Home, Bring The Light, Glass & The Ghost Children, 1979, Perfect, To Sheila, Tonight Tonight, Stand Inside Your Love, Rocket, Tarantula, Heavy Metal Machine, Today, Zero, Lucky 13. It was an ok setlist. I was really expecting a few more songs that they have been playing allot lately on their current tour, songs like Starla, Muzzle, Cherub Rock, Disarm, Starz, Ava Adore and a few others. Some Highlights of the show were hearing old songs like Drown, Hummer, and Rocket. Billy played 1979 as a solo on an acoustic guitar. The middle of United States had Billy playing the Star Spangled Banner which really sounded cool. I personally think that should have been included in the album version of the song. However there were a few low points including the I mentioned above that didn't get played as well as them playing Glass.. That song was so mellow and boring that most of the audience (including myself) sat down until it was over. They need to retire that song, It took about 10 minutes of show time, just enough time that they could have played Muzzle, but no. Cameras were allowed in the show but I didn't get any good looking pictures, I was able to take a few video's but my camera is so crappy they really didn't turn out to well, the audio sounds good, but not good enough for me to post on my site.
Overall it was a really good show and night. So although the day was almost screwed over, it turned out to be a great day, so thank you to all those who came through and understood, and a special fuck you to those who don't.

Halo & Smashing Pumpkins
Well last week Monday I went out for the midnight launch of Halo 3. I never went to get a game at midnight before, and I was amazed by the amount of people that were there for it. I think there were around 90-100 people there in line. I was number 28. Gamestop did a smart thing by making sure everyone had the game paid off in full by 11:30 so that way at midnight you would just go in, show your receipt, grab your game and walk out the door. I was out of there by 12:08 and then went home and started playing til about 5am. I was able to finish the single player game within 2 days which was kinda disappointing but I have spent a lot of time playing multiplayer on Xbox Live. I started to get really good at it. Tomorrow is a big day for me, Me and Katie are taking a road trip to to Bloomington/Normal IL to see The Smashing Pumpkins. It's Katie's first time seeing them and my first time since they broke up in 2001. I think they allow camera's so I'll take pictures and put them on my website.

Halo 3
Its hard to believe that Halo 3 comes out a week from today. I wasn't a huge Halo fan in the past and only recently got into it after playing Halo 2 on Windows Vista. I am looking forward to "finishing the fight" and like a moron plan to go to the local Gamestop Monday night for the midnight launch. I have never gone to a midnight launch for a game, (did for the Wii though) but since I have my Legendary Edition preordered and paid in full I should be able to just walk up, pick it up and leave, no standing in line 14 hours like I did for the Wii. The Halo marketing blitz has worked on me, in hopes that in a few years things will be worth money I have gone out and bought all the Limited Edition Halo 3 products that have been released. So I have gotten the Halo 3 Xbox 360, Headset and both sets of Wireless Controllers. Not gonna open or play with any of them in hopes I can sell them on eBay in a few years and make a profit.

Trip To The Apple Store
The new Apple Store opened on Saturday in Deer Park so just for the hell of it I went to see what it was like. That might have been a big mistake. ended up leaving with the new Ipod Touch that just came out. I wouldn't really recommend it. The Ipod features of it are not as easy to control as say the older Ipod's. However I really like the Wi-Fi features of the Ipod Touch. The Safari web browser, the YouTube viewer and the Itunes store are all nice little features, only downside is you need to find a wireless network to connect to in order to use these features unlike the Iphone (which I don't have and don't really want). The video on the Ipod Touch is larger then the previous Ipod Video, and I really like how you can turn the unit side ways and watch it in wide screen. With only a 16GB hard drive it wont fit all my songs and video that I have on my 60GB Ipod Video but as I just stated the Ipod Touch really isn't that good of an Ipod, I like it just for the browser and wireless Itunes Store. While Katie was in line buying the Ipod Touch, my son David led me over by the MacBook Laptops. I haven't played on a Mac computer since about 1997 when I had my good old Macintosh Performa 6220. My God how the Mac's have changed. So long story short David "told me" to buy a new laptop. I didn't want to purchase a high end Mac since I wasn't sure how they worked and I am a Windows user and don't plan on switching anytime in the near future so I ended up leaving with the basic MacBook for about $1090. I really enjoy it so far. It boots up quick, its light, the battery life is good. It is a good computer to just pull out of no where and sit in front of the TV and use if Katie is on the main computer.

Local News Story
Following is from CBS 2 Chicago News:
"Driver Who Smashed Panera Hit Building Last Month"
WILMETTE, Ill. The 94-year-old driver who crashed into a Panera Bread restaurant in north suburban Wilmette that injured eight, also had an accident a month ago in which she hit a building, police said Friday."
Am I the only one who thinks old people dont belong on the road? Or are people just afraid to say something?

E3 Round-Up
Well lets see how well i predicted what would be announced at this years E3.
Microsoft:
Halo 3 - That was pretty obvious
Xbox Live Arcade - Not that many good new games, but atleast we finally got Sonic
Web Browser - Nothing announced. Maybe for the Fall Update
Handheld - Thank God it was all just rumors.
Games - GHIII and Rock Band were shown
Overall - I was surprised by the fact that no price cut was announced as Sony did with the Playstation 3. Microsoft only showed games that were gonna be released by the end of this year except for the new trailer of Resident Evil 5 which will come out next year so not that many new games were announced. They did announce a game based on the popular board game Scene It which comes with a new controller that "anyone" can use. The one low point of the press conference was the Rock Band performance. Whoever that fat chick that was singing was needs to be shot and killed. I was also hopping for some zoom in's on the drum kit cause I think that's gonna be a hit this winter.
Nintendo:
Mario Kart Wii - I guessed it right, its coming early next year.
Wii Hard Drive & Virtual Console - Nothing
New Controller Types - 3 of them. Wii Zapper, Wheel and Standing Pad
New Channels - Only 1, A Mii voting type channel. Kinda Weak
Online Gaming - Lots of new games later this year and next will have online. No word about Friend Codes
New Zelda Game - Nothing
Overall -
They announced release dates for Mario and Smash Bros for this year which was good. Announced Mario Kart, Guitar Hero III, Madden '08 plus others will all have online multiplayer modes. The announcement of Wii Fit was a shocker to me but I think that will be a hot seller when it ships early next year.
Sony:
I couldn't stand watching them driving the nail in their coffin even deeper. Pretty sad when one of the first things they announce is an updated PSP which is thinner and lighter. Sounds like a Nintenod DS Lite to me.

E3 Video Game Convention
Tomorrow the E3 Video Game Convention starts. It kicks off tomorrow night with the press conference from Microsoft with Nintendo and Sony to follow Wednesday. I'm sure a lot of new cool games and products will be announced and just for fun this year I have made up a list of SOME of my perditions on what I think might be announced at this years E3:
Microsoft
Nintendo
Sony

Doomsday Clock – A few months back when the track listing was released I got excited to hear the song Doomsday Clock. I had it in my head that it would be an awesome opener like the song Where Boys Fear To Tread was on the second disc of Mellon Collie. Most of my theory was true; it is a nice hard rocking song. If I could have changed one thing about this song would to turn the tempo up just a little bit more. This song proves that the Smashing Pumpkins only need Billy Corgan and Jimmy Chamberlin to make good rock song and as your about to find out, a good rocking album.
7 Shades Of Black – The opening drum beat reminded me of the beginning of Cherub Rock, but then it takes flight to its own level. It has the happy upbeat feel to it. The chorus has a good rhythm to it and I like how it pauses at a few parts of the song just to speed up and rock again.
Bleeding The Orchid – After rocking out on the first two tracks, Bleeding The Orchid brings the tempo down a little to a nice mellow song but not to slow to where it makes you tired. It feels like a song that should be on Siamese Dream & Mellon Collie.
That’s The Way (My Love Is) – another good up tempo song that feels like a happy pop song.
Tarantula – The First single of the album. Jimmy pounding away on the drums really gives this song life. This song has all the sounds that made the Pumpkins a hit. From the loud intro, to the memorable chores, the muted guitar , the kick ass solo’s, bring the song into a slow dreamy rhythm to calm the mood just to bring it into high gear one more time to rock you out.
Starz – When I first saw the song title Starz I prayed it didn’t sound anything like the horrible Billy Corgan solo album track Strayz. I don’t know what is up with him using “Z” in place of “S” but when you hear the song that doesn’t even matter anymore. This song has a good beat to it that can get stuck in your head after you heard it. I think Corgan may have dubbed his voice a little too much during the “We are starz” line but once you hear the song for the second or third time you really don’t notice it too much.
United States – Every Pumpkin album has at least one long track, and this one is it. Song starts out with a drum solo by Jimmy, just to have Corgan jump in with his loud distorted guitar. The song’s lyrics are not that great for this song, but with a song that’s this heavy and rocking, lyrics really don’t matter. About half way though they slow it down again a little which reminds me of the middle of the classic hit Silverfuck with the funky guitar sounds. The final few minutes of the song are the ones that really come at you with everything they got.
Neverlost – Every album has to have that one weak song that you wished they just kept off the album and this song is the one. I kept hoping this song would break into something better but it didn’t. To me it sounds like a song that was left off the Zwan album. This is the one song I will be skipping while listening to the album.
Bring The Light – One thing about this song is that repeating lyrics “Bring the Light,” 29 times actually. It can be kind of annoying at first but after I heard it a few times I really got into it. The song does sound like something that could have been on Corgan’s solo album The Future Embrace but instead with using distorted guitar, a great drumming track and a nice solo.
(Come On) Let’s Go – First time I heard this song, a few of the guitar riffs reminded me of an old 80’s Police song. In fact the whole song feels like an 80’s rock song but not in a bad way. Sounds like a song that would be good for the video game Guitar Hero.
For God And Country – I heard this song played live at their first reunion concert and Corgan played it solo on an acoustic guitar so I thought that the album version would sound somewhat like a Disarm, Thirty-Three mix, but now that the song is out my expectations were wrong. It uses electric guitars, a nice drum beat and other unique sounds that the Pumpkins are known for using. My only complaint about this song is that the bass is a little too high.
Pomp And Circumstances – On Corgan’s past few albums the final track is usually really boring and makes you hit the stop button upon the song starting (Come With Me, Strayz). The song is still weak but not to the point where you want to turn off the album yet. It does use drums, and some small guitar solos. The “La la la la” lines make this song stick in my head after I hear it. I was hoping for a loud rocking song as a closer, something like X.Y.U or even Zero that leaves you wanting more, but Corgan seems to believe to end an album on a slow soft beat. At least the album opened with a hard rocker.
I don’t believe in rating systems anymore so I will not rate this album but I will say it fits right in with the rest of the Smashing Pumpkins catalog. It takes the band back to the kind of sound that put them on the map with their first few albums, Gish, Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie and stays clear of tuned down funky distorted sounds as heard on Machina: The Machines of God. The album has a lot of good songs and as usual the one or two songs like Neverlost that should have been released as a B-Side.

Random Thought:
The other day I started to realize just how old I am getting. I was talking to my sister in-law Jenny and her friend Dakota who are both 14, and we were talking about music. They know all about the bands of today, but ask them if they ever heard of Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, they have no idea who they are. They have heard of some of the bands before, but dont know any songs. I was just shocked that they could name all these bands of today, but none of the greatest bands of the 90's or of all time. I'm sure if I played them some of those old songs they would know it, but it just made me realize how fast time is flying. At least they knew bands like Metallica, Korn and unfortunately Kelly Clarkson. Just a random thought, ok bye bye.

March is just about over and I never realized how much stuff goes on in one month. First off my 26th birthday fell on the 2nd of March. Next my son's David's birthday came on the 8th. Last but not least me and Katie's 2 year wedding anniversary was on the 17th. This year we went downtown Chicago and saw the Blue Man Group. We saw them while we were in Las Vegas 2 years ago, but thought it would be fun to see them here in Chicago. It was pretty much the same thing as the Vegas show, but a good time none the less. Tonight just for the hell of it we are gonna go see the new Ninja Turtle movie. Can't believe after all these years they are making a new Turtle movie, and the scary thing is it looks kinda good, unlike the last turtle movie. My family is doing good. Katie is a stay at home mom for the time being, but she is babysitting a few of the kids in our area to bring in a few extra bucks, which is nice. David is walking on his own and getting into all kinds of trouble, however its hard to get mad at him cause when he looks at me he just has the biggest smile and its so cute. He loves walking around saying DaDa which makes me few special.
As always check out his Blog, he (katie) does a good job keeping it up to date for the most part. Earlier I was surfin the net and came across this picture and got a cheap laugh out of it, maybe you will to.

Man how the time flys. In just a few days my son David is having his first birthday. He is just started to walk on his own and it feels like yesterday that we were trying to teach him how to roll over. Be sure to check out his Blog to see a small video of his first few steps and other exciting news. Also my pictures section of my website is offline due to repairs and should be up in the next day or two. Pictures are now back online. Was able to repair and update quicker then I thought.

Random Thought:
I have owned the Sony Playstation 3 for about 3 weeks now and still do not own
a single game for the system. None of the games out there intrest me or I already
own them on a different system such as Madden and Fight Night. This was the
biggest waste of money I have spent in a long time. I also find it funny the
past few times I've gone into my local Best Buy they have a lot of Playstation
3 systems in stock for sale, but they can not keep the Nintendo Wii in stock
at all. Funny, I thought the Wii was gonna be easy to find everywhere after
launch, I guess the Wii is more popular then it was first expected to be.

Happy New Year:
Well its a new year which means time for me to do My
Best Of 2006
11-21-06:
Nintendo Wii & Zelda:
I've been waiting a few years now to get my hands on the new Legend Of Zelda
game, and that day finally happened on 11-19-2006 with the launch of the new
Nintendo Wii system and Legend Of Zelda. Knowing this system and game were gonna
sell out fast, I had decided to camp out at the 24 hour Antioch Wal-Mart in
hopes to get one when it launches at 12:01am. I got to the store about 11:15am
on Saturday 11/18 and there was already a big line formed. Wal-Mart only had
29 systems and 26 copies of Zelda available for sale, and I was #20 so I was
sure I would get both a Wii and Zelda. My camping experience was unlike any
I have heard of before. You always see and hear about people having to wait
outside in the freezing weather, having tents, and tons of clothes on to try
to stay warm. At the Wal-Mart I was at they allowed us to "camp" at
the Lay A Way section of the store, so we were nice and warm. People had brought
lawn chairs and others goodies to past the time, I didn't think of brining a
chair, so being at a Wal-Mart I had Katie go get me a chair, Yes I did pay for
it before using it. The manager at the Wal-Mart was super nice, he had people
from electronics bring over a 36" HDTV and DVD's so we had something to
watch to past the time. He also brought over some bags of chips and pop for
us for free, we just had to promise not to make a mess or disrupt the customers
or he would ask us to go outside. The pop and chips were the Sam's brand so
it wasn't the greatest but I couldn't complain, I feel like im royalty already.
They also announced that later on they would get us chicken or something for
dinner, and that also was a total shock. The final person that was gonna get
system #29 showed up around 1:30pm. Around 3:30pm a woman that was waiting in
line since about 10:00am got up and told everyone that she was gonna order pizza
for everyone and asked what we all liked. She ordered 15 large pizza's for everyone.
I went over to her and offered her a $100 bill, and she didn't want anything
from anyone. After talking to her for a few minutes, I found out she was at
that Wal-Mart "camped out" for 3 days and was first in line for the
Playstation 3. I hours were ticking by slowly, I had Katie go home with David
pretty much when we first got there and she was gonna come back before it got
dark since she doesn't like driving at dark, but until she got back it was so
boring. We were not allowed to leave the Lay A Way section at any time. They
had our names on a list and they did random roll calls and if you were not there
when they did the roll call your name would be crossed off and someone new would
get your spot. You could only leave to go to the bathroom which was in the Lay
A Way section so at least that was nice. Katie returned around 5:30pm and when
she showed up I was finally able to get up and walk around the store alittle
bit. They did tell us we could leave for a short period of time if we had someone
to take our spot. The final 6 hours were the longest, lots of people had their
Nintendo DS systems and spent a lot of time playing Mario Kart DS. I spent a
lot of time talking to random people about the new system, Zelda, and kids.
Around 11:30pm more people started showing up in hopes that they will get a
system at midnight, they were all told that all the system's were already spoken
for, but they stayed anyway thinking Wal-Mart was lieing, which they weren't
and people left upset. Finally midnight came, about 20 minutes after they started
selling them, my name was called up. They were really slow so it took awhile
to get everyone taken care of, but I walked up and got my Nintendo Wii & Zelda. After I got home I was so tired that I told myself I will hook
it all up and play in the morning and went to bed. Well I laid in bed for about
20 minutes before I realized I'm so excited and happy that I wont be able to
fall asleep so I got out of bed, went down to start hooking it all up. I knew
I had to get some sleep since early Sunday morning I had to travel to Downers
Grove and pick up another Wii system that I had bought from some guy on Ebay
about 2 weeks earlier. I wasn't sure if I would get one on launch day so that's
why I got one off Ebay just to be sure. But anyway, I got my system, I got my
Zelda, and I am loving every moment of it.

Happy Halloween

One of my favorite holidays is upon us today, Halloween. I don't really like
dressing up, I just like decorating my house. Trying to think of new and good
ways to make it scarier each year. This year was a success in the fact that
some of our neighborhood kids came around and got scared and ran inside crying
since it was too scary. I felt bad, the poor little 4 year old. I try to make
it as kid friendly as possible which is why I have a Tigger in the front yard
but I guess the hanging, bleeding dead corpse hanging out my bedroom window
sorta erases that fact. All the other years I had Pooh instead of Tigger but
Pooh died this year and couldn't be fixed.. Damn it was nice taking a hammer
to that fat piece of pooh. Anyway I added some photo of my house to my Photo
Gallery, so go ahead and check them out. Also below I took a small
video tour of my haunted house. I'm already planning for next year, and if
I have the time and can afford it, it will be great. I updated some pictures
of David
and added his 6th
Month Pictures. I've gotten pretty behind since he is turning 8
months in 9 days. I also added a few videos of him on his Blog.
I'm getting pumped for the release of the Nintendo Wii, and Legend Of Zelda
on Nov. 19th. It will be different playing this Zelda, normally I make it
a habit of shutting the world out for a few days until I finish it, but now
it wont be that easy now that there is a little kid crawling around everywhere.
Speaking of the little munchkin, he is growing up and learning this so fast.
It seems just like yesterday that he learned to roll over on his own, and
now he is crawling, and standing up on his own. His bedtime is still rough
for him, he doesn't like to sleep. I found the secret that helps him put him
to sleep. If Katie brings him into my game/music room, and I play my guitar
for him, it quiets him down and he will fall asleep. So lately in my spare
time I have been trying to record a few Smashing
Pumpkins songs for him. I think it helps him hearing that it is
me playing for him, so if I ever get some songs recorded, I'll put them up
on my website. Well that's all for now. Bye till next time.

Useless Rant:
The other day I had to go to the office supply store to get some printer ink.
I wont mention the name of the store, but sorta sounds like Home Depot. Anyway
when I went to check out the cashier tried selling me a value card to help
me save 5%, I told her no thank you, and she kept pushing it on me and again
I told her no thank you, then she gets this attitude with me saying “ok,
trying to help you out” and then she has this look on her face like
I made her have a bad day. After leaving the Depot, I came to realize that
I am getting sick of all these store’s always trying to sell some kind
of rewards, VIP, value cards. Every store I go to anymore, Jewel, Best Buy,
Gamestop, Pets Mart, Home Depot, ect. Why cant I just go to a store and checkout
without having to be harassed about signing up for a card, if I am interested
I will ask about it myself.

"Love is good, love is kind, love is drunk and love is blind, love is
good and love is mine, love is good all the time" - "Shame"
- The Smashing Pumpkins
Why did I post that you may ask. Those words have been on my mind that past
few weeks, I guess for once in my life I have learned and understood the true
meaning on life and love itself. I never knew raising a child could be such
a headache, with all the screaming and crying and not knowing what is wrong
with him. I feel so lost and helpless lately. He is hurting alot lately since
his teeth have started coming in and I feel completely helpless. I wish I
could just take his pain away and make it my own but I cant, all I can do
is comfort him the past that I can. His screaming can drive me up the wall
most of the time, I just have to learn and accept it. No one ever told me
how rough this could be. But I would not trade it up for the world. He is
my son, my life, the one to carry on after I'm long gone. I have to love him,
care for him, help him and protect him. I have a complete family now, a wife,
a child and a cat who I love completely. Anyway enough of my crazy rants.
Katie and I have started David's very own Blog. Unlike the last little blog
we did before he was born this one will be kept up to date. It is simple enough
so Katie can keep it up to date, so keep an eye on that, it should be updated
at least once a week if not more. He's growing up really fast. David
Michael Hart's Blog. Also I have posted some new
pictures of David in my pictures section. I'll try to keep that up to
date as well. Speaking of updates, I updated a few things on my website. I
have gotten rid of the Matrix style homepage, so anyone who types in mikehart.net
will be directly sent here to my homepage. The only other big change you will
notice is after 3 years or so I finally updated my Links
sections. I deleted some old ones and added a few new ones. Katie's birthday
is coming up on July 12th, send her an email at katherine@mikehart.net
and tell her happy birthday. Well that's it for today, don't forget to check
out David's blog, the web address is http://david.mikehart.net
5-19-06:
Big update today. Been well over 2 months since I really put any news on my
site. I have been sorta keeping up with putting new pictures on my site. I
now have the pictures of David's baptism on here. All the pictures can be
found in Pictures.
I relized that I havnt even put up the story about what happend the day that
David was born, so with the help of Katie, I was able to come up with the
story of that day to the best of my memory.
David’s Birth Story:
Katie had an appointment on
Tuesday afternoon. They did the routine stress test on David and that was
good, however Katie’s health was not good so they decided to send us
to the hospital to start inducing Katie. They gave her cervadil Tuesday night
to get things going and said they would start early Wednesday morning. At
5 Wednesday morning they started pitocin to get contractions going and at
7 she was 3 cm. along so they broke her water. By 9 the contractions where
pretty intense so she was given a pain reliever to help her relax and she
got some sleep. It was pretty funny around the time she woke up, she had no
idea where she was. She asked me where am I, and I told her she was at the
hospital. She then asked why am I at the hospital, and I told her the truth,
I told her she was going to have a baby, she responded real quickly “I’m
not having a baby!” which was kinda cute and funny. She doesn’t
remember any of that, but I’ll never forget it. At 3:30 Katie decided
on the epidural and by 7:30 since she was getting sicker and weaker they decided
on an emergency c-section. I got to go in during it, I had to wear those stupid
doctor clothes, but that was the least of my worries. I was in the room next
to Katie’s head while a big sheet prevented us from seeing what was
going on down there, I did look around the sheet a few times just to see what
it looked like, it was pretty gross. All the sudden we start hearing the baby
screaming, and then stopped. Katie got all worried, but I ensured her that
it was normal, and everything is ok, about 5 seconds later we heard screaming
again, and they brought it around the sheet so we could see. My first reaction
was, “sick” it looked like a freakin alien. It was very gray and
slimy looking. I remember though that I knew from that moment on my life was
forever changed. I felt scared, confused and happy all at the same time. After
they showed us, they asked me if I would like to come watch them clean him
up and weigh him, I decided I should go, I didn’t have too far to go,
just the other side of the room. I was worried cause I was leaving Katie’s
side but she knew I was only a few feet away, so as I walked and followed
the baby I got to walk right past the doctors still working on Katie’s
insides, I got a good view of the insides, it was kinda cool. So as the doctors
stitched Katie back up, I was watching the nurses clean the baby and weigh
him. He weighed 7lb 2oz. At that time I was allowed to take pictures. After
I took a picture of the “alien” being weighed, the nurse, the
alien and I left the operating room and as we walked by the waiting room,
the grandparents were able to see the alien for the first time. It was at
this time that they wanted to take a picture of me holding him, so for the
first time in my life I held a baby. After a brief visit with the grandparents,
the nurse and I (with alien) proceeded to the nursery. I was still in shock
while watching the nurse give him a quick bath and check to make sure everything
was where it was suppose to be. About 45 minutes after we got into the nursery
I thought maybe I should go check up and see how my wife was doing, I couldn’t
find her at first, but they finally directed me to the recovery area. When
I walked in I was surprised how good Katie looked and felt. She was still
drugged up a little, but her face looked so much better and looked a lot more
relaxed. The next day the alien didn’t look like an alien anymore. He
finally had some color and his weird pointed head was back to a normal looking
head. David Michael Hart was born at 8:18 p.m. on March 8th 2006, and was
perfect. Katie and David where in the hospital for 6 days before coming home.
3-09-06:
IM A DADDY!!! First picture have been uploaded under the Pictures
section. When I get more and better pictures I will put them up. Also when
I get time, I will write about what happend yesterday. David Michael Hart
was born 8:18pm on March 8th.
3-07-06:
Well the time is almost here. In about a week or less Twinkie will be born.
Still no name has been decided so maybe we will just stick with Twinkie. I'm
sure alot of people would kill me so I guess we will have to come up with
a real name. I turned 25 a few days ago. Strange, I never thought I would
be a father this early in life, but I guess shit happens. Katie is doing good
I guess, other then the fact she is as big as a house and walking around with
an alien type thing inside of her. The baby's room in our house is complete,
I havent had time to put any pictures up, in fact all the pictures of my house
are outdated, so once I get the time, and get the house cleaned I will update
pictures. I also took down my guestbook. It got hacked or something so I was
getting like 100 posts everyday from spam companys trying to sell their product,
I couldnt figure out how to block the spamers so I just shut it down. Well
next time I post, I should be a daddy.... Scary!!
2-20-06:
Finally had time to do alittle updating to my website. I have completely redone
the Pictures section of my
webpage. It should be easier to use and to find pictures, and it will be alot
easier for me to keep updated. I went into the Hart's Family Album Archives
and scanned a bunch of old pictures.
1-16-06:
Happy New Year... I guess
Well the new year has started, another exciting year to look forward to. Last
year I got married, this year I become a daddy. I guess I should sound alot
more excited, but as of right now, I am more scared then anything. I never
could stand babys. I never wanted to hold one, I think they smell and are
ugly. But I guess its something I will have to get used to. Anyway, a few
changes have been made to my site. Added my Xbox 360 Gamer Card. Only thing
you can do with it is see my video game achivements and see what games I've
played. If you have Xbox Live add me as a friend. I have also been playing
Animal Crossing: Wild World for Nintendo DS. If you would like to add me as
a friend and visit my town, my town info is below. Remember to Email
Me or Instant Message me your
town info or else we cant connect.

Well the end of the year is upon us which means its time for My
Best Of 2005 Awards. Only 80 more
days until Twinkie is born. Just to clear up some confusion, Twinkie is NOT
going to be the name of the child. It is just a nickname until we announce
the real name which wont be until he is born. You can get all the update on
the website Katie making, Twinkie's
Webpage.
11-21-05:
Well turkey day is upon us again, however this Thanksgiving is totally fucked
up. Katie's sister decided to get married the day after Thanksgiving. What
kind of dumbass waterhead decides to get married that day after Thanksgiving.
Moron!!! I find it funny half of her family members wont be making it since
they have other plans for the holiday weekend, or just gonna be so fuckin
stuffed from all the food that they would just like to sit on their asses
at home and watch football. That is what I would like to do (that and play
my xbox 360) but I'm gonna have to go up there for atleast a few hours. But
I will be at home for Thanksgiving with my family, but Katie will be up with
her family. Well just like every year. Here are some Thanksgiving specials:
Thanksgiving
Tic-Tac-Toe
Only at Thanksgiving can you say any of the following in polite company.
1. Talk about a huge breast!
2. Tying the legs together keeps the inside moist.
3. It's Cool Whip time!
4. If I don't undo my pants, I'll burst!
5. Whew, that's one terrific spread!
6. I'm in the mood for a little dark meat.
7. Are you ready for seconds yet?
8. It's a little dry, do you still want to eat it?
9. Just wait your turn, you'll get some!
10. Don't play with your meat.
11. Just spread the legs open and stuff it in.
12. Do you think you'll be able to handle all these people at once?
13. I didn't expect everyone to come at once!
14. You still have a little bit on your chin.
15. How long will it take after you stick it in?
16. You'll know it's ready when it pops up.
17. Wow, I didn't think I could handle all of that!
18. That's the biggest one I've ever seen!
19. How long do I beat it before it's ready?
10-10-05:
Well I finally baught a Sony PSP system. I really did not want one since there
are no games out that I am interested in. However I was researching and found
out what the system can do that Sony doesnt want you to know. I am able to
hack into the firmware and upload all my emulators and roms allowing me to
play all the old Nintendo, Super Nintendo, and Sega games whenever and whereever
I want. I have been uploading the newest seasons of Simpsons, American Dad,
and Family guy on this site. You can download them HERE.
Katie and I have decided on a temperary name for the baby until we find out
what it is early next month. From now on it will be known as Twinkie. Katie
has made a site dedicated to Twinkie and I am hosting it on this time. Check
it for the updates and new pictures of Twinkie when they become available.

9-14-05:
I will be taken down Season 4
of Family Guy within the next few days/weeks, so download them now if you
want them before they are gone so I can make room for the upcoming season

8-13-05:
Katie went to the doctor yesterday, and got another ultrasound. This time
they were able to see a heartbeat. Click
Here to see a new picture of "it". Your able to make out a head
now, so there is something in there for sure growing..
8-11-05:
Well lots of shit going on latly. First off it is offical, I am gonna be a
daddy come March '06. It was a shock finding this out, and I'm still trying
to get used to the fact, but I guess it will just take some time. Click
Here to see the first picture of "it". Can't tell much about
it, other then the fact that something is growing inside Katie. We saw Green
Day & Jimmy Eat World last night at the All-State. It was a really good
show, however I was amazed by all the kids that were there with their parents,
I'm talking about 7-12 year olds. It was a good show, they played some shit
off American Idiot, plus a few of their older hits, mostly off Dookie. Last
weekend we went to Wizard World 2005, it was a good show this year, however
I didnt buy as much as I noramlly would since money is a little tight and
with the news about us having a child, I'm trying to save my money alittle
more. The highlight of the show was that I got to meet and talk to Kevin Eastman,
who is the creator of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He's a cool guy, I
told him what a fan I was growing up and he drew me a skecth of my favorite
chacacter, The Shredder. You can see a scan of it, plus pictures of the other
cool crap i baught this year at Wizard
World 2005. I even found some time to update a few pictures on my website.
I updated pictures of my house, mostly just my game room, and retook pictures
of my video game collection which just keeps growing.

Last night me and Katie got to meet Billy Corgan agian at a release party
for his new album TheFutureEmbrace. I was finally able to get a few pictures
of him up close. I really couldnt take a picture of him with me, he said he
wasnt doing pictures today, but I got the best I could get, you can atleast
see my face. Also got one of him and Katie while he is signing a poster for
her. Also the Billy Corgan Incident that me and Katie went to a few weeks
ago and had hot dogs with Corgan is now online (see below). you can go to
music.yahoo.com and find it or just see it here. Go to the Videos
section and you will find it.
6-05-05:
Havnt made any updates in awhile. Been pretty busy. Finally got to meet and
hang out with Billy Corgan for awhile a few weeks ago. Here is a review of
the event as written by my wife Katie. On Tuesday may 24th, we got to meet
Billy Corgan. we entered a contest with Katie and her number ended up being
the closest number chosen. It was a pick a number from 1 to 100 contest, the
number being 88, Katie choose 79. What ended up happening is we were given
direction to a spot, only 80 people total where allowed to go. Once we got
to downtown Chicago by Montrose Harbor we boarded a bus to the unknown. The
unknown ended up being the Rivara where we saw Billy Corgan and his band play
four songs from his upcoming album and as a rehearsal to his world tour. The
songs were "Untitled Instumental", "To Love Somebody",
"M.O.H." and "A100" We got to shake his hand and see how
the real concerts would be. After the mini concert, he boarded the bus with
the band members and the winners and we went to a hot dog place. Billy bought
everyone hot dogs and we were all able to talk with him and the members of
the band. After everyone was done eating Billy went around and socialized
with everyone. He talked to us for a while about whatever came up. He signed
autographs, Katie had him sign his book and she got a hug from him. The only
one he gave a hug to. We also had him sign our badges we wore that said The
incident with Billy Corgan. We also got To talk to some of the members in
his band including drummer Matt Walker. Unfortunately we were unable to get
pictures because cameras weren’t allowed, but it was a fun and unforgettable
day. We can’t wait to see the real concerts on the 5th and 6th of July

3/23/05:
Well I'm back, I'm married, and I've got the flu. Got married Thursday (3/17)
and afterward went to see Celine Dion, after a few songs, an usher came up
to us and told us they would like to move us to the front row in the center
since Katie was still in her wedding dress. As soon as we got to our new seats
Celine came down and talked to us, and said it was so cool and beautiful that
we were there. She gave us both hugs and kisses. It was kinda scary since
we were on a huge tv screen and all 4,000 people could see us and hear us.
Throw out the whole concert, she kept winking, blowing kisses and waving at
both me and Katie. It was really cool. One of the best parts though had to
be when she performed "My Heart Will Go On" she basiclly sang the
song directly to us, standing right in front of us and pointing at us. At
the end of the show, Celine came down to us again, with a rose and gave it
to Katie, and gave us both more hugs and kisses. All the dancers on stage
even waved to us. It was increadable. Words could not describe it. After the
show as we were leaving everyone was coming up to us saying how cool that
was, that we stole the show away from Celine. A few people asked if we were
just part of the show. It was a day we will never forget, getting married
and having Celine Dion sing to us for our wedding. Pictures of both the Vegas
trip and the Wedding are now online to download.

Well this is probley gonna be my last post as a single man. only 10 more days
till I get married. I leave for Las Vegas on Saturday (3/12) and will be back
Saturday (3/19) a whole week in "sin city". Got alot of activities
going on besides getting married. 3/12 I am seeing Danny Gans at the Mirage,
in fact thats the hotel I will be staying at. on 3/13 we are seeing Penn &
Teller at the Rio, and 3/14 seeing Blue Man Group at the Luxor. Then after
I get married on 3/17 seeing Celine Dion at Caesars Palace. I will be adding
pictures and the video of the wedding on my speical wedding webpage that I
made, but I am not gonna give that address out yet until after I get back
from Vegas. I dont want people I dont know, or dont want there finding out
where and when I'm getting married. This is a speical thing for our familys
only, and a few of our closest friends.
3/02/05:
Today is my 24th birthday... Yippie!
2/09/05:
Removed the location and time of my wedding in Las Vegas for security reasons.
Dont want people I dont know, or dont want there to attend and ruin my/our
special day.
2/07/05:
Added my top 6 Favorite Super Bowl Ad's Of 2005. You can find them over in
the Videos section of my webpage.
I finally have some big news to update my website with. I am getting married
to my girlfriend of 4 years, Katie. Now some of you may think we were already
married, but we wernt, you were just being led to believe we were. The date
of the wedding is March 17th 2005. It is happening at the Treasure Island
Hotel in Las Vegas. All my friends and family are welcome to attend, but you
must be able to get yourself there and find a hotel on your own. If you are
unable to attend, the wedding should be broadcasted live over the internet
via webcam. If you are interested in watching it, Email
Me and I will send you the info you will need when I get it. The wedding
will be professnaly recorded, so when I get back, I will upload the video
and pictures on my website. My parents, all my sisters and brother, and Katie's
mom and stepdad will be attending.
12-23-04:
Christmas time is upon us and the new year is coming up just as well. Hope
everyone has a good and safe Christmas. I still need to take and add pictures
of my house since I lit the house up with Christmas lights. Since this year
is closing up, it is time to announce my Best Of (and worse of) the year 2004.
So check out the Best Of
2004
11-24-04:
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, which could only mean one thing, the return of Thanksgiving
Turkey Tic-Tac-Toe. Do you have what it takes to beat the bird?? I still
have some Nintendo DS Systems for sale. They are going to be the hot item
this Christmas season. ebgames.com says the next shipment wont ship until
early 2005. Email Me if you are
interested. Here is a Picture
of all the systems I have for sale. All are brand new. Happy Thanksgiving,
and now enjoy some Thanksgiving jokes:

11-05-04:
Bush won, thank God. Atleast a wont be a repeat of 2000 where we wouldnt know
the results for 30 days after the election. The new Star Wars Episode III
trailer came out today, I have up on my Videos
page to be downloaded. Can't wait for this movie to come out.
10-29-04:
Added a new section to my website. Created a Videos
page. Just a collection of fun videos I find around the internet. Since I
now have 4GB of space on my website, I figured I could add alot more stuff
to it. Be sure to check out the Ashlee Simpson video I have posted. She is
such a dumb bitch. I thought she was bad as an actor on that crap show 7th
Heaven that Katie watches.
10-28-04:
Wow, an update to my website. Dont get alot of them much anymore. Elections
are less then a week away. Who's gonna win? I have no idea, only thing I do
know is there is gonna be total chaos in the U.S. If you thought 2000 was
bad, I think this is gonna be worse. I heard on news radio am 780 here, that
this election is gonna be the closest in history. Correct me if I'm wrong,
but wasnt 2000 close. How much closer can you get? I know another attack is
coming, no matter who wins, we are gonna get attacked, harder then 9/11. Anyway,
enough with my politic opinion. Halloween is just a few days away. I love
halloween, its the only time a year I can have gravestones in my front yard,
and skeletons hanging from my porch. You should stop by and see my house,
(call for directions) or just look at pictures I put up. Halloween
2004 Pictures.
10-01-04:
No updates in awhile. Mostly cause there hasnt been anything to put up. I'm
starting to hate my job more and more everyday for reasons that I can't go
into here. Katie is still babysitting, it isnt much but it is something. My
mom is still down in Florida, cleaning up and waiting for people to come repair
things from Hurricane Charley. Finally was able to get close and pet the wild
kittens that have been living outside my parents. They have been friendly
with my dad, and now me. They even let me take a few pictures of them.
8-25-04:
Finally got the pictures of the damage to my parents house in Florida. Click
Here to see them.
8-20-04:
Been awhile since I've updated. Tons of stuff today. First off, my parents
are in Flordia. Hurricane Charley hit the Cape Coral area last Friday, Aug
13th and did some damage to the house. I dont have any pictures yet, since
I wasnt able to go down there, but I will have pictures next week when my
dad comes back. Last weekend I went to the Chicago Comic Con. Got
alot of cool stuff, such as exclusive figures that you could only get there,
and a lifesize Terminator head. I took pictures of everything I got. Check
them out 2004
Chicago Wizard World. My parents have a few kittens that are living outside
under a bush. I tried to catch it a few times before I got Starla, but it
does not like to come around people. However lately one of the kittens, (the
cute one) has started to become alittle more friendly. Below are a few pictures
of the kitten.
7-19-04:
Big update today. Added tons of new pictures. Last weekend me and Katie went
to the Alpine Fest in Lake Zurich. Compaired to last year, it was alot cheaper.
Last year we went with Dan, and played those crappy fair games they have and
Katie really wanted a big bear. Well long story short, Katie got her bear,
after me and dan spent like $50-$60 to get it. We were screwed by a trailer
park redneck bitch. Well this year, it was a different story. Katie got like
8-9 bears for only about $20. I won at every game, and that same trailer park
trash chick was there, this time I beat her on the first try. Katie still
doesnt have a job, but does get to babysit a kid down the road every once
in awhile, so she is getting some income. Just wish her father would give
her a brake and help her. What the hell does he expect her to do, she has
no car, no money, nothing. Am I supose to do it all for her. Not just me either,
my own parent have to help her out sometimes cause she need clothes and he
doesnt offer to help or anything. Well thats enough ranting today, now onto
the pictures.
I have new pictures of my house again. This time with more crap, and the outside
with all the grass and plants.
Check out Pictures Of The
House
Also I have new pictures of Starla my kitten.
Check out Pictures Of
Starla
And finally, I took a bunch of pics of my game room, and my whole collection
Check out Pictures

7-09-04:
Since Sunday I have gotten about 54 video games, worth almost $2,000.00 for
only alittle over $250. Each game was only $4.99. Circuit Citys all over are
having a major blow out sale on games, and not just crappy games, but cool
games. On Monday I even baught my first X-Box system cause I had gotten about
21 X-Box games. I got most of the ones I really wanted, but still gonna look
around, cause the sale lasts till next week. You can see a list of games I
have baught HERE.
Katie's birthday is sometime next week, I have it down to either the 12th,
or 14th, so go ahead and email her
and tell her happy birthday.
7-01-04:
Won a free Webber Grill the other day at a cookout in my sub-division. I havent
used it yet, but plan to on the upcoming 3 day weekend. Got Katie a small
part time job at my work. All she is doing is cleaning the entire office.
There is durt and dust around everywhere, and its been a LONG time since its
even been cleaned, kinda hard to keep clean with all the dirt and machines
outside, but she is doing a good job and is getting paid alittle for it, plus
it gets her out of the house. My kitten Starla is still a major pain in the
ass. She loves to wake me up every morning at 4am, and will not let me go
back to sleep. I dont have the heart, and still to tired to just get her and
lock her up somewhere. At work today, one of the guys out back found a snake.
He was able to catch it in a box, until animal control came. At first it sounded
like a rattle snake, made the same kind of sounds as a rattle, but when animal
control came, she said it was a fox snake, and that they pretend to be a rattle
snake, but its harmless. That fucking thing didnt look harmless to me, I would
have had a heart-attack if I was outside and saw it in front of me. Check
out a picture of the damn thing. Click the picture to see a bigger picture.
6-23-04:
My cats name has finally been decided, her name is Starla. It's a hyper little
thing but I'm happy with it. Life is good, got everything I could ever dream
of, a house, a girl, and my own cat. I'm ready to retire now. Got the new
Mega Man Anniversary Collection today, which contains all the old classic
Mega Man games 1-8, and I have relized how much I have spent on games that
have old classic games on them. I guess I like the idea, cause now I can go
back and relive my childhood without trying to hook up 50 diffrent systems.
Just because I am board at work, below is a small list of what games I've
baught, just so I can play classics on the newer game systems.
Animal Crossing -Super Mario, Zelda, Punchout, & others- $49.99
Legend Of Zelda: Collectors Edition -Zelda, Zelda 2, -$99.99
Mega Man Anniversary Collection -Mega Man 1-8 -$29.99
Metroid Prime -Metroid -$49.99
Midway Arcade Treasures -Rampage, Joust, Smash TV -$29.99
Namco Museum -Pacman, Ms. Pacman -$19.99
Sonic Adventure DX -all the old Sonic Game Gear games -$49.99
Sonic Mega Collection -all old Sonic Games -$39.99
Star Wars: Rebel Strike -3 1980 Arcade Games -$49.99
Activision Anthology -Old Atari Games -$29.99
Plus all the Gameboy Advance Classic NES games. And there are still alot of
games coming out in the future that I will get just for the classics. I guess
I just like having all the old games on 1 system rather then an old system
that hardly works anymore. Well thats enough ranting for one day, check back
someday soon, when I'll add more pictures of Starla. Oh if your wondering
where the name Starla came from, its one of my faviorte Smashing Pumpkins
songs, and I was listening to it while trying to figure out a name. Its a
great song, and a great name for a kitten.
6-18-04:
Got my first new kitten last night. It is a playful little thing, and very
friendly. Seems to be attached to Katie. It follows her around and always
goes to her. Don't know what it is about her, but even Simba likes Katie more
then me now. Have not named her as of yet, still trying to think of some good
names. One name that has been crossing my mind for her is Starla. If you have
any other good ideas, let me know.
6-16-04:
Havnt updated my site in awhile, mostly cause nothing new going on. They are
finally just about done with the landscaping around my house so I'll put pictures
of that up someday. Got and beat the new Legend Of Zelda game, in the middle
of watching Simpsons season 4 dvd's, and thats about it. Katie still has no
job. I saw the father of Val the other day, that was a weird experence. Kyle
finally moved back around here, so all I need now is Dan, and the whole crew
will be back together to cause trouble upon this ill faded world
5-18-04:
Added some pictures of my Game
Room/Music Room. Got well over 570 games just in that room alone, as well
as all my guitar and music equipment.
5-12-04:
Been busy trying to find old classic video games that I have lost or people
had stolen. Im looking to buy old NES, SNES, Sega, Sega CD games. If you have
any you want to sell Email Me or Instant
Message me. Here is a list of Games
I Am Missing that I am willing to buy. The E3 Video Game convention is
going on, and a lot of killer games are coming out in the next year or so,
including a new Zelda game that is realistic looking. Check out IGN's
Gamecube section to see some of the hit games coming out
5-3-04:
Finally had time to take new
pictures of my house with everything moved in. Don't have everything where
I plan, but until I get enough money to get some more funiture, this is how
its gonna look for awhile, using TV trays as TV stands. It does the job, but
will look nice someday. I have high speed internet, so I am online 24/7 again.
Today I'm getting my garage door opener, and blinds installed.
4-23-04:
As of today I am a home owner. Its taken awhile, but I finally got it. Today
and tomorrow is move in day. Wont have high speed internet till Monday. I
will have pictures up someday, but you can still check out the Pictures
I took last week.
4-18-04:
Added the first pictures of my new Town
House. Just a few more days till I'm out of this place.
4-15-04:
It's getting closer. The closing on the house is next friday the 23rd. Yesterday
I started packing up. Packed all the DVD's (took 6 boxes), video game systems
and games. Its hard to believe how much stuff we have in such a small apartment.
Still dont know how I'm gonna get everything to the new house, but it will
be figured out soon. Ive already got a washer/dryer, and fridge. Weather is
gonna play a big part in moving. If its clear and nice, I'll just borrow one
of the trucks from my dad, but if its raining, then I'm gonna have to rent
one of those u-haul trucks, and it isnt cheep. So by monday/tuesday, I will
have a better idea of what I'm gonna do.
4-6-04:
Crap movie The Matrix Revolutions came out on DVD today. I thought if I saw
it again, maybe I would like it alittle bit more.. Nope.. Worst movie I ever
saw, next to Cabin Boy. Only a few more weeks till I get my house. The closing
date is the 23rd, which means I'm gonna start moving in that day. Still looking
for people to help me move. hint, hint...
3-25-04:
If I get this new house, it will be a miracle. There have been many bumps
in the road, some small, some major, but Im hoping it will all get fixed and
I will be moved in by the end of April. Other then that all that I have been

Well I guess I can finally say that I will be getting my very own town house
in Round Lake, IL. by the end of April. Have not said much about it to anyone
cause I had to be sure everything went though ok, and now that it has, I can
tell everyone. It's a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom brand new townhouse, it isnt even
finished being built yet. Don't have any pictures of the house its self, but
I do have the floor
plan. Both my parents are in Florida, my dad wont be back till March 23rd,
so its kinda boring at work.

Went to the Chicago Bulls game last night,
It was an ok time. Not that big of a Bulls fan anymore, Used to be a few years
ago but thats when they were good and worth having me as a fan. Took a few
pictures from the game, including Cheerleaders, the halftime baby race, and
the "Fat Cheerleaders". We were 7 rows back from the court, so they
were kick ass seats. check out the Chicago
Bulls Pictures. Other then that, 2 more days till my birthday, this year
went by very fast, but I guess thats what happens when you get older.

Autumn Run Apartments in Naperville is a bad place to live. We have had cars
broke into, drug deals going down, pipe bombs in trunks of cars, and yesterday
a small fire in one of the apartments. Video taped all the fire trucks and
some little mexican bitch was yelling at me across the parking lot "why
are you recording this to, so you can get on the news and make money, grow
up" and my answer to that is yes, I am trying to make money, and I'll
tape whatever the fuck I want. She is just jelious cause I have a good job,
and smart enough to tape news and sell it, while she is stuck fliping burgers
at burger king. It's a free country and I do what I want and dont need a fucking
mexican bitch to say otherwise. Stupid bitch. Anyway, I have created a newer
and better guestbook, Please take a few miniutes and sign it, even if you
signed my old one, sign this one. Be true, be cool, be a friend.

What an exciting weekend I just had. Friday I recorded my first demo of Ava
Adore, (with Alvin the Chipmunk on vocals.) on my new 4 track recorder
that I bought the night before. But I guess the big thing was the bomb scare
at my apartment and how me and Katie got on the news twice. We were at my
parents Saturday afternoon, got back to the apartment at about 5pm, I was
bringing stuff in from the car when a fire truck and 3 cop cars pulled in,
one one cop car had its lights on, so I didn't think anything about it. About
20-30 minutes later I looked out my window and saw cars parked on the street,
didn't have lights or anything so I thought maybe someone was having a party.
Then around 7pm, Katie's dad called asking where we were cause they were driving
around, cause the cops wouldn't let them in the complex cause of a bomb scare.
I immediately, and when I got outside and walked alittle closer i noticed
the whole street was lined up with cops, FBI agents, fire trucks, K-9 units
and the bomb squad. I ran back to get my camera, so I can tape it all in case
something happened. While walking around I talked to a bunch of people that
knew more info. Turned out someone called the FBI at 11am and reported a bomb,
5-6 hours later they show up, nice huh? Around 9:30 - 10:00 they blew off
the first bomb, after that I thought it was all over, so I walked back away
from the scene, and talked to other people about what was going on, then we
heard the explosion from the second bomb they blew off. Didn't catch that
one on tape. I walked back over and when an FBI agent saw i had a camera told
me to put it away, and get out of here cause they didn't was the place taped.
But of course I didn't listen, snuck around and got more on film. There was
a guy in what looked like to be a bio suit, carrying what turned out to be
a shoe box full of white powder which was explosive. around midnight they
started allowing people to drive back in the complex, but were screening everyone
to make sure they lived in the complex. At about 12:30am they allowed everyone
that was evacuated back in their homes, and took down the road blocks all
together. Sunday came along and me and Katie went for a walk to where all
the action took place. As we got there, a camera man and Darlene Hill from
Fox News Chicago, came over and asked us if we would like to answer some questions
and be on TV. So we did it. They asked us both about 5-6 questions, and afterwards
I told them I had home video of the first bomb going off. They asked if they
could see it, so they came over into our apartment, I showed them the video
and they asked if they could have it and they would pay me $175 for a 10 sec
clip, so of course I said yes, only thing was I couldn't sell it to anyone
else or I don't get paid, I like Fox News so I agreed. They video taped the
video right off my computer screen, so didnt even have to make a copy of the
tape for them. Later that day, we walked around some more and CBS 2 Chicago
was doing a live report so me and katie were walking around the background
like complete idiots, it was still cool though that were we on TV twice now.
The 9:00 news came on Fox, and they showed both me and Katie for about 5-10
seconds each, kinda upsetting that they asked us so much, and we only got
a small part, but my video was on the air, and we were on TV so I guess its
all good. So with all this going on lately, we are all alittle more aware
of our surroundings, and what's going on. Not everyday you are in the middle
of 2 bombs at your apartment. I taped and put the videos of the news programs
on my site, click on a link below, and they should open in Media Player, or
right click and select "Save Target To", to download.

Found online that me and katie were in a newspaper article (w/pic) in regards
to us sitting out in the cold waiting to see Zwan on the coldest day of the
year. Check
it out!!

It's the end of an era. Today I got rid of my Mustang so that I could getting
a bigger vehicle. One that could handle driving in snow, so today I got a
brand new 2004 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer Series. It was more money then what
the Mustang was, but I got a really good deal. Check out a few of the pictures
below.

No news.. same old. katie found a part time job. I redesigned Harts
Tractors website. No fancy, flashy things, just a basic design. Realized
allot of people in the heavy equipment business are total morons, and like
things simple and easy. Got rid of my crappy high speed internet service that
only offers tech support mon-fri 8am-8pm Noment.
We found out we can FINALLY get SBC DSL..
7-24-03:
They say I'll have DSL by this coming tuesday.. We will see. Until then, here
are some exciting picture of my sister Shari, that my mother asked me to put
up to make her turn pink.

My site has not been updated that much as you can
till. Mostly cause I dont have high speed internet at home, which makes it
hard to work on. Im hoping to have fast internet at my apartment by the end
of the month. Saw Zwan again on 5-6 at the Aragon in Chicago. That was the
best of all the concerts I went to, even though I had to stand in the way
back against a wall since my hypothyroidism has been acting up alot latly.
The first good movie of the summer came out last week, X2. Far better and
about a whole hour longer then the first X-men, X2 makes waiting three years
for the sequal well worth it. The storyline is probley the best part of the
movie. I never read the comics or anything so I am not a huge X-men fan, but
I understood it, and thought it was great. The action sceens are really well
thought out and shot well. They leave it open for a third X-men, but it seems
latly, what movie doesnt leave the ending open for a sequal. However, we have
to wait till 2006 to get an X3.
I give X2 4/4 Stars.
A few of the movies I am really excited for are:
Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines, Matrix Reloaded, Bruce Almighty, Freddy
Vs. Jason, and American Pie 3
Movies I think will totally suck:
The Hulk (give it up with the comic books), 2 Fast 2 Furious (Vin Desal its
not the same), Chariles Angels 2 (first one sucked, why should this be any
different.), Bad Boys 2 (just sounds like a bad idea), Exorcist: The Beginning
(first one might be a classic, but that was in the 70's. all the sequals sucked,
so why do they think people of 2003 will like another sequal), Lara Croft
Tomb Raider 2 (just plain stupid),

Finally got a few pictures of the bar & gameroom that my parents have
built in the basement. click on a a picture to see a bigger version of it.

Another Change Of Email Address:
Well I knew it would happen since I was moving out, and getting a new internet
provider. But this time should be the last for a long while. I have finally
figured out how to use the address given to me with my website, so from now
on please email me at
mike@mikehart.net
3-27-03:
Finally added pictures of the apartment. I have not had much time to do it,
and we still dont have the apartment finished yet. Once we get it done and
I have time I plan on taking better pics and puting them up, so until then
check out the Apartment.
Other then that nothing new is going on. Saw Zwan last week in Mil. Wisc.
They didnt allow camera in that show so no pics. Monday I am taking a road
trip to Normal IL. to see Zwan one more time. I have been playing the new
Legend Of Zelda: The Wind Waker game. If you really know me, you know i love
Zelda games, and wont rest until I finish it.
3-17-03:
I have moved into the apartment. I got the internet connected so I can now
check email, however updates to my site will be limited since im only on a
56K modom. I will update mostly at work where I have high speed internet.
We are still unpacking and hooking things up. I will take a few pictures today
or tomorrow and upload them. My email address has not changed yet so you can
still use mhartat@ameritech.net
3-11-03:
In 3 days I move into my new apartment in Naperville. Still going though all
my stuff and packing so I havent really updated my site as I wanted to. I
was working on a whole new design but it will be put on hold for awhile. The
apartment that I am moving to does not have DSL/Cable or any high speed internet
so I will not be online as much. However in mid May they say they will have
T1 access which I still believe to be bull. On top of all that, since I am
going to have to cancel my internet service I have now, that will probley
mean I will have to change my email address again. I added some of my Nintendo
Games to my Inventory List
today. I say some of the games cause I know I have much more then is listed.
I just need to find them. Check back late next week for I will add pictures
and info on my apartment.
2-22-2003:
Well move out time is 3 weeks away. Been pretty busy going though all my stuff
and packing things that are going to stay in storage, and stuff thats coming
with me. Since I am going though all my crap, I thought this would be a good
time to make a complete list of all the video games and CD's I own, sorta
like I did with my DVD List. I wanted to keep a record of all the stuff I
own just in case someday I might need it. So I decided to put it on my site
for some odd reason. So check out my Inventory
List... Next Sunday is my 22nd birthday... Big deal!!!
2-16-2003:
Well it is offical. Me and Katie are moving in our apartment March 14th in
Naperville. It should be an interesting time. Ill be working, and Katie will
still be going to school at NIU. Since we are moving in next to her father
she will be able to drive his car to school. We will be seeing Zwan 2 more
time next month, March 21st in Milwaukee, and March 31 in my favorite town,
Normal/Bloomington, IL.
2-12-2003:
Created a Zwan webpage in my spare time. Since I created a Smashing Pumpkins
page, I thought it would be fitting to create a Zwan page. It includes lyrics,
pictures, news, tour dates. Check it out and tell me what you think.

Zwan Day!!!
Today Zwan's first album, "Mary Star Of The Sea" hits store shelves.
Check it out, it is a very good album, for my review of the CD click the link
above. Speaking of Zwan, they were at the Metro in Chicago for 5 sold out
shows, and I had the luck to go to all 5 shows. Camera were allowed in so
I took as many pictures as I could, and I have uploaded them. I didnt get
many pics for the 1st and last show, but the other dates have good pics. I
took 70 pictures for each show, and went though and picked 20 for each show
to put online. You can veiw the pictures and concert info at my "Zwan
5 Nights @ the Metro" page. Also you can read my Zwan
- Mary Star Of The Sea Review

Happy New Year!!!
I am back from Flordia. I was their almost a month. I havnt updated much on
my site yet, but I plan on redesigning it soon. I didnt get many pics from
Flordia, but I did buy a new digital camcorder, so I mostly have video. When
I get time I'll go though the vids and capture some pictures. In other news,
I passed my Website Design class with an A. I could have maybe gotten the
A+ but I didnt try at all on the final.. But I guess the big news right now
is the 5 ZWAN concerts in Chicago next week at the Metro. Tickets sold out
real quick but me and Katie scored tickets to see 3 out of the 5 shows. Its
gonna be a fucking good concert, then a few days after that, Zwan's first
CD will come out in stores. I took down the mp3 of the Zwan song I had on
my site. I need the room, and since its now almost everywhere there is no
need to keep it. Also gone is my Website Survey.. It was only for my class
so I didnt care.

lyrics are from Smashing Pumpkins, Stand Inside Your Love.

10-13-2002:
Due to the fact that I have been sick the past couple days and not feeling like
doing much, I have decided to start making a Smashing Pumpkins Tribute Page.
My very first website was a Smashing Pumpkin website so I thought I would make
one almost like my very first one. But as of right now, only the Lyrics section
is up, due to the fact that it took 2 days just to do that. So im time I hope
to go back and work on it some more. When I have more time, or when I get sick
again. So check out Mike's
Smashing Pumpkins Tribute Page.. Remember its not close to done
10-9-2002:
Made a few more updates on my site. Added a Katie and Mike section, updated
my DVD list, and updated my About

My very first website was a Smashing Pumpkin site so want to make a new one.
10-8-2002:
Updated my DVD list with the few dvd's I got today. My "Friday The 13th"
movie collection is now complete. Last night me and Katie went to the Bears/Packers

Bears won, but still a good time. I forgot to get a camera, so i dont have any
pictures...

my website. By the way if anyone comes across a copy of the DVD "History
Of Beavis & Butt-head" please pick up a copy for me. It got recalled
the day it was released and can't find it anywhere now. Also check out the new
song from Nirvana

The song will load on its own. It should take about 30-40 sec to play if you
are on a 56K modem.
9-19-02:

Went and saw the Aerosmith/Kid Rock concert the other night. It was a good
show. Aerosmith played mostly old OLD stuff from when they first were around,
plus a few of there newer stuff. It was a good concert, but I enjoyed the
Kid Rock performance better, even though I dont like him
Pictures my mother asked me to put on here.....
